BLOOMS ACADEMY

Our Secondary Section is divided into Junior Secondary (Year 7 to Year 9) and Senior Secondary (Year 10 to Year 12). At the Junior Secondary, our students are exposed to variety of subjects such as English Studies, Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology (BST), National Value Education (NVE), Cultural and Creative Art (CCA), Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba), French Language, Pre-Vocational Studies, Physical and Health Education, Religious Studies (CRS and IRS) and History. At the end of the three years, our students sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (NECO and ERC) and Cambridge Checkpoint Examination. Our students have to undergo the Checkpoint Examination to enable us understand their strengths and weaknesses in preparation for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination at the Senior Secondary level.
At the Senior Secondary level, our students are exposed to subjects in Science and Technology, Art and Humanities and Commercial areas of study according to their academic strength. At the end of Senior Secondary school, our students sit for statutory examinations like International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination, Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WAEC and NECO), JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
We value the academic progress of every student hence we introduced intensive coaching for students in examination classes and intervention programmes for students who scored below average during the mid-term or end of term examination.
Beyond academic improvement, we also pay attention to character and skill development through programmes like Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Student’s Advisors mentoring, gender talk and Value Based Education (VBE).
It is our desire to see our learners stand out in any setting they find themselves.
